About the Author
Noah Ashenhurst received his BA from Western Washington University and his MFA from Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Comfort Food, his first novel, won the 2006 Independent Publisher Book Award for Best Regional Fiction (West-Pacific). His short fiction has appeared in Beyond the Margins: A Literature and Art Magazine, Apparatus Magazine: a literary journal from the internal machine, and Brittle Star (a literary magazine based in the United Kingdom). He is a member of PNWA (Pacific Northwest Writers Association) and NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English). He grew up in Colorado, worked in a salmon cannery in Alaska, has traveled as far as Budapest and Prague, and remodeled houses. Noah is currently teaching in Olympia, Washington and completing a collection of short stories and his second novel.Podcast Interview - A River and Sound Review (3/17/07)
